Christmas Around Europe

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Well, I know I’m a little late but who actually wants the holiday season to come to an end?! Not me! So in celebration of happy thoughts, cheery music, time with loved ones, decorations and all the clean, crisp air let me share a few pictures of my travels around Europe and the Christmas season in Italy, France, Wales and England and all the magic it has to offer. And oh boy, let me tell you, it was MAGICAL!

Christmas Eve in Turin walking along River Po

Christmas started early in Turin, Italy shortly after Halloween when the Piazzas began hanging colorful lights that are uniquely crafted together by local artists.

Via Po

Piazza Castello

Paris, Paris, Paris…oh how beautiful you were! There was a HUGE Christmas market lining a main street that I accidentally stumbled upon while riding my bike at night along the Seine River all the way from Notre Dame to Eiffel Tower. Truly breathtaking. I also had a tasty sugar waffle and it was of course, AMAZING! Seriously though, really good.

Here are a few shots from Cardiff, Wales where I spent a day. The place pictured is called the Castle Arcades and it was there that I had the most amazing lunch of my life. I ordered Lamb Cawl Stew which is a must eat meal in Wales and a platter of assorted Welsh cheeses paired with a glass of house red wine…sigh….

Where magic happens 🙂

Okay, back to Christmas!

 Castle Arcades

Cardiff Castle

As for London, that gorgeous city really knows how to do Christmas right! There were decorations all over the city from colorful lights to Christmas trees being sold on the streets to Christmas markets along the river and plenty of hot drinks to buy before a chilling walk. It was an unforgettable experience to visit during this season. Out of all the places I’ve seen during Christmas, London was my top favorite!

SOHO – Carnaby Market (I found this accidentally and I’m so glad I did!)

Regent Street

My future front doorstep 🙂

 Ice Skating in Kensington

Kensington Palace

German Christmas Market along Thames River (this woman hand paints these ornaments and I got a lovely one for my family)

These smell amazing!

Leavenhall Market

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year! 2016 was a whirlwind of change for me to say the least but has made me who I am today and I’m so thankful for all the growth I have experienced, lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met and most especially for all of my amazing friends and family!

Cheers to a year of unknowns, God’s limitless love for all of you and lots of exciting new adventures!

Tanto Amore,
